More info

Campden powder, also known as Sodium Metabisulphite, is generally used in wine making, to kill the wild yeast on fruit, to prevent oxidation when siphoning and to help preserve wine. 1 teaspoon is equivalent to one campden tablet. Can also be made into a sterilising solution by mixing 1.5 teaspoons of powder with 500ml of water.

Campden Powder can also be used to neutralise chlorine and chloramine in tap water. Simply mix 1 heaped teaspoon into 20 litres of water to remove the chlorine.

Please note that due to the size of the tub, Royal mail charges this item at the small Parcel rate. This means that the weight has had to be adjusted accordingly on our site, in order to calculate the correct postage.
