Lactic acid is used to add more acidity to home brew wine, to give it increased sharpness, and "milky" flavours. It is smoother than some other acids, particularly malic acid.

It can also be used to increase the acidity of your beer mash, as a substitute for acidulated malt.

Please note that as the bottle is over 25mm in diameter, it is classed as the small parcel rate, by Royal Mail.
